I’m thrilled to announce that I will be this year’s special guest at Sleep Tampa Bay’s SLEEP ROCKS event on September 2, 2017 in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
In 2015, after realizing the Tampa Bay Florida community was desperately missing a social support system for people with sleep disorders, Dr. Michelle Zetoony (Board Certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Internal Medicine), Nicole Sondermann (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist), and Jessica Davenport (Certified Health and Wellness Coach) created the Sleep Tampa Bay group. Each of these inspiring woman are touched by sleep disorders in some way; either they themselves have a sleep disorder, they have a family member with sleep issues, they work in the sleep medicine industry, OR a crazy combination of all three. With such an illustrious group of founders, I am honored to be a part of their group’s Fall event.
This year’s gathering will include a walk for awareness and rock painting. Rock painting? Yep… The group will paint “sleep inspired” rocks to take home OR to hide around the Tampa Bay Florida area. The goal is to have fun while spreading awareness for sleep health and sleep disorders and to show Tampa Bay that SLEEP ROCKS!!!
Plans are underway to also have a more intimate gathering with me and the Sleep Tampa Bay members for a discussion about using Diet for Narcolepsy. Details will be posted once they are confirmed.
Please join me and join Sleep Tampa Bay to celebrate sleep health and sleep disorder awareness!!

Let me be totally up front here…I AM NOT A DOCTOR, nor am I a nutritionist, I only have a tiny amount of formal training in such things as a Health Coach. But I am a person with narcolepsy who uses dietary and lifestyle changes to mitigate my narcolepsy symptoms. I’ve been experimenting with these changes since July 2011 and have successfully maintained a high level of narcolepsy symptom management since that date. And so has my family with narcolepsy. This website contains our personal stories, failures, and experiments. In this website I will share with you the information that I have found most credible and some practical ideas for mitigating narcolepsy symptoms. I beg you to check with your doctor before initiating any of the dietary changes I speak of, especially if you are taking any medications.
