Madcap Miss is Returning to the Narcolepsy Network Conference!

It was an extreme honor to present “Diet for Narcolepsy – My Family’s Awakening” at last year’s Narcolepsy Network Conference in Orlando, Florida.  In that presentation, I shared how my family and I use diet to mitigate our narcolepsy symptoms.  The presentation was a good overview of what we do and why we do it… but not much in the HOW department.

It is my pleasure to announce that this year I will be returning to the conference to present “Madcap Diet for Narcolepsy – A Beginner’s Roadmap.”  THIS year I’ll walk attendees through the basics of the diet.  My approach to dietary changes is narcolepsy friendly, recognizing that making changes is a tough deal for us since we fight through brain fog and that ever present need to sleep.  This beginner’s roadmap will be just that, a roadmap, containing step by step directions on how to gain more wakefulness via our food choices.

BUT WAIT!  THERE’S MORE!!!  I will be presenting this roadmap TWICE.  The first will be focused toward the general PWN population and their supporters.  The second one will be aimed at our PWN youth with specific tips and tricks aimed at their particular lifestyles and circumstances.

I would be honored to have you join me at the conference and to attend one of my sessions.  Here are the details:

  • Narcolepsy Network Conference 2017 – Creating a Path to Understanding
  • Marriott Portland Downtown Waterfront in Portland, Oregon
  • October 27-29, 2017
  • https://narcolepsyconference.org/registration-information/

Come join me as I show you a roadmap for a path OUT of narcolepsy and INTO life!

Your Madcap Miss (a.k.a. Gina Dennis)

Let me be totally up front here…I AM NOT A DOCTOR, nor am I a nutritionist, I only have a tiny amount of formal training in such things as a Health Coach.  But I am a person with narcolepsy who uses dietary and lifestyle changes to mitigate my narcolepsy symptoms.  I’ve been experimenting with these changes since July 2011 and have successfully maintained a high level of narcolepsy symptom management since that date.  And so has my family with narcolepsy.   This website contains our personal stories, failures, and experiments.  In this website I will share with you the information that I have found most credible and some practical ideas for mitigating narcolepsy symptoms.  I beg you to check with your doctor before initiating any of the dietary changes I speak of, especially if you are taking any medications.
